Shawn's high Chair

Got this high chair from one of the mummy from SMF.. Thks to her being so understanding.. Cos collection at Jurong west.. we live at Fernvale.. so far.. she was willing to sellin us at a discount of $10.. so we got it at $60 .. which i reali thk worth the price.. item was so new n clean...
Went to collect it on Sat late afternoon..

Rent Shawn a Toy

At last we rent Shawn a toy to play for a month.. been thinkin abt it for wks le.. n finally decide to get this..

Look at him enjoying his 'new' toy.. even it has pass his sleeping time le.. his eyes still wide open wow..

Shawn rejects ‘SPOON’..How??

Nvr ever have I tot of tat Shawn will reject spoon… hahaha!! I always worry he reject or confuse nipple..reject bottle.. but now comes a bigger problem.. hope not..

 

Yty we started Shawn on the rice cereal plus breast milk…

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

first try in the afternoon.. 1pm… at first he was quite curious… then after 2 feed.. which he didn even swallow de..

he refuses to open his mouth le.. (Suck his lips inward… So cute …haha) so end up we pour everything into bottles plus few more ml of milk n let him drink it..

Sec try at 6.30pm.. I tot afternoon try wasn’t reali a good try since he only take abt 3 spoon.. so I prepare the cereal but he still making noise when we try 1^st spoon.. we tot mayb he is too hungry le.. so I brought him into my room to latch on.. for 15min.. then bring him out to try… once he see the spoon..he started crying le.. reali cry de lol..with tears rollin down his cheek … in the end..we give up again… pour into bottle n feed him again…

We decided to try him on spoon with water first.. shall c how after that…

Any advice how to encourage bb to start on solid ah??

Vaccination Day !!

Tdy is our family vaccine day lol... haha.. y ah?? jus read on. . .

Woke up as early as usual day.. Brought Shawn to ICA... Reach at 8am..was so crowded.. Q no. E047

Waited for abt 30min.. n Shawn got his Passport le.. Yeah!!

 

 

 

 

 

After this we went to AMK.. Dear took his Hepatitis B vaccine while Shawn waited n sleeping in the car. Then we had our breakfast at AMK Hawker.. Guai Shawn sat in the stroller.. while we ate.. Then i rmb..Shawn yet poo this mornin.. n check on him.. WoW!! He had Poo so much ah.. quickly change him.. luckly he behave.. didn make noise..

Then we rush down to The Kids Clinic n Shawn had his last 6in1 Vaccine n the Pneumococcal Vaccination..

Waiting again.. for abt an hour.. where shawn had one round of milk n nap...

Shawn was so brave..when PD poke him.. for two time.. he only make a bit noise at the moment when poke..no crying..thks to daddy..distracting him..

PD give the green light for Shawn to start on Solid le.. so we went to NTUC to get the rice cereal.. But was too crowded there..end up we got nothing..

 

Bought Shawn home.. He was a bit fussy.. so let him latch on..n fall aslp..

i quickly bath pepper n dry him..n get ready to bring him out..

Hubby n i brought pepper to the vet for his annual check up n vaccination. His outer fur ard his ear got a bit infection...hence bring back some cream n lotion to apply on him..other then tat..pepper is very healthy .. i check with the doc on sterilising him.. was told tat pepper will get less active if sterilised.. n will end up gainin more weight.. n he will b in pain for at less 2 days.. lying there wont like to move.. surgery will cost us abt $160.. n take abt few hrs...

After discussing with hubby..we decided NOT to do it for pepper.. hubby say pepper will hate me if i sterilise him..(haha!! guess tat guys point of view hor..keke) i oso thk tats a bit cruel lol.. i dun wan pepper to b in pain oso..

Went straight back home after tat.. n shawn was sleepin le.. thk the vacc workin on him liao.. he a bit drownise le.. i was Yao-in him.. he open his eye on off.. but jus nvr wake up wide.. touch him.. temperature still normal.. hope he will b fine.. our brave boy!!

Forgot to note down Shawn development .. He is now 8.75kg n 69cm tall @ 5mth1wk old :) Can flap from tummy to back, Can sit with support, Can stand with support, can 'snake' crawl to get the toys he like (very cute movement), will react to his name called, can move all direction on walker, ... Baby reali grow so much le.. will b startin him on rice cereal tdy (24 Aug 2008) afternoon feed. Decided to start with 100ml bm plus 2 tablespoon cereal first.. Recommended feed sld b 200ml milk plus 4 tablespoon. Jus in case he reject the cereal.. so i tot cut it down by half for first try might b good enough.. to take things slowly..

Read tat the expected completion date had brought forward to 1st quarter of 2011. Told hubby this morning. He was so excited. Hope to c the building soon ba..

Shawn first two words

Yty.. 4 Aug 2008 @ 7.45pm… our baby Shawn got so frustrated after a while lying on the bed. So I carry him n sit on my lap.. he was facing my “breast”… (which is his “milk bottle”..haha) he was ‘talking’ n making noise while I was watching the 7pm channel 8 show… (I like tat show very much de… hehehe..) I didn notice wat he wan… til suddenly..

My boy call out .. two loud n clear word… “Nett Nett!!” (mean milk milk ..) both hubby n I was so shock… n we started laughing at him… n quickly I pop him on to drink his ‘nett nett’ le.. kekeke… tats my dearest boy.. nvr tot his first two word is ‘nett nett’ n not pa pa or ma ma… *faint*

A Sunday with Dear ard

Dear has been workin on every sunday. Hoping to earn extra $$. Yty, he decide to stay off work. Cos this coming sat he wana go back to work. So he tot he can give up last sun to accompany us.

Dear suggested to bring Shawn to East Coast Park. We have a wonderful few hr there. :) Reach at 4.30pm n left at 6.30pm. Reason: cos now 7th mth ma... Dun wan let Shawn stay out too late. Hehehe... Pang Dan mummy hor...

Shawn now enjoy sitting in his stroller n watch his surrounding le.

Last sat we went Expo , Natas fair, Plan to help di di book chalet there to celebrate his 21st bday. But i was so piss off. Saw in Island resort website got 40% discount if i book at Natas.. but end up there only got $100 discount. which end up per day cost $200++ tats still too x le..

End up we got nothing. N waste $2 each into the fair.. luckly Shawn didn get noti. He guai guai de sit in his stroller looking ard. Til we abt to leave.. then he start make noise.. getting tired wana slp le..
