Something abt our future home

Fernvale Vista is one of the few projects offering new 2-room flats for sale since HDB stopped building them in the 1980s. There are 86 units of 2-room flats, 92 units of 3-room flats and 330 units of 4-room flats in Fernvale Vista.
Located at the corner of Fernvale Road and Sengkang West Avenue, it is a short drive from the Central and Tampines Expressways. Public transport is easily accessible with Fernvale LRT Station just opposite the development.

Fernvale Point, a private interim commercial development, is located next to Fernvale LRT Station.  It houses a wet market, supermarket, foodcourt and ATMs. There are also other eating places nearby at Jalan Kayu, located one LRT station away from Fernvale LRT Station.

Fernvale Vista offers standard flats without floor finishes in the living area and bedrooms. HDB is offering the Optional Component Scheme to buyers who wish to have ceramic floor tiles and/or internal timber doors installed.

The building of new 2-room flats is part of the Government's efforts to provide more affordable housing options for first-timer low-income households; second-timer households now have an additional option to downgrade to a 2-room flat.

FENGSHUI
Fernvale Vista sits on the land formation known as cricket teasing dragonfly, is just outside Seletar village. This is indeed strange, for crickets are often the ones who get bullied. Moreover, dragonflies are usually found near ponds or the sea.

The area is low-lying, valley-like and enjoys plenty of underground water. As such, the land is Yin, ie, wet, dark and damp, and enjoys refreshing breezes.

It is a blessing that Fernvale Vista is located on Singapore's only feng shui cricket. As it is active and wields great supernatural power, it likes to poke fun at the mild-mannered dragonfly.

This formation enhances the residents' ability to build up their fortunes from scratch and achieve success in unimaginable proportions. However, this being the land of cricket teasing dragonfly, if residents do not cultivate themselves or progress methodically, they will find themselves sliding down the "snake" (akin to the game Snakes and Ladders). Businessmen who have suffered defeat must persevere if they want to benefit from this area's auspicious feng shui.

The seemingly-ordinary five rare talents formation is in fact very rare and will benefit those who choose to settle down here for good. As long as one continues to progress steadily even after tasting success, fruits will bear over a long period of time.

The nearby Seletar Expressway adjoins the other expressways, linking Fernvale Vista to Singapore Changi Airport in the east, Bukit Timah in the central and Tuas in the west. Leading to the two check-points, it is a vital northbound route. If Jalan Kayu is developed as well, the golden locust will advance in full force. It is only be a matter of time before the five rare talents formation unleashes its full potential.

INVESTMENT & RESIDENTIAL
Connectivity to other parts of Singapore is ensured by the Tampines Expressway (TPE) and the new Kallang/Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE). The area is also served by the North-East MRT Line (NEL) via Buangkok Station and Sengkang station.

Town residents enjoy a comprehensive Light Rapid Transit (LRT) system that is integrated with Sengkang Station. Sengkang is the first town to have LRT planning integrated with town planning.

Furthermore, HDB is introducing UD (Universal Design) features in new residential developments to meet the lifecycle needs of residents and facilitate ageing-in-place. Such design features make a home safe and user-friendly for the young and old, including wheelchair users.

Fernvale Vista will be the first Built-To-Order project with UD features. These include ramps at main entrance, levelled floors throughout the flat, wider internal corridors, bedroom and toilet doors, wheelchair-accessible common toilet, space provision for future installation of grab bars in all toilets, as well as easily accessible switch sockets, TV outlets and telephone outlets.

Fernvale LRT station and Fernvale Point (an interim commercial development housing a wet market, supermarket, food court and shops) are within walking distance.

A gamut of educational facilities is available. These include Fernvale Primary, Seng Kang Primary, Nan Chiau High and Pei Hwa Secondary; Meridian Junior College is within reach at Pasir Ris. The proximity to the expressway also means that the Singapore Sports School is easily accessible via public and private transport.

Recreational facilities are aplenty at the upcoming Sengkang Town Park and Sports Complex, to be situated along Sungei Punggol. The nearby Compass Point shopping mall is an integrated transport hub with MRT/LRT/Bus Interchange under one roof, together with comprehensive commercial, entertainment and shopping developments.
